Massey Vet School #HogsAbroad in New Zealand

Yesterday the Animal Science students took a trip up to Palmerston North to visit Massey’s Veterinarian School. There we met the Vet School’s Dean, Dr. Jenny Weston, and the Assistant Dean Dr. Eloise Jillings, both are graduates of the Massey Vet School and gave excellent advice. After talking with Jenny and Eloise, they gave us a tour of their small animal hospital, necropsy, CT scanner, recovery room, equine facilities, and the large animal teaching unit, where we were able to see the cannula being changed from a fistulated cow. We also were given a tour of Massey’s Dairy 4 from the farms manager and facility manager. After the tour of their facilities, we had coffee with the Dean at Cafe Cuba near the square in Palmerston North. The entire trip was amazing, and we would like to thank Jenny and Eloise for the tour, the time you spent with us, and the knowledge and advice you gave us.
