Fulbright U.S. Scholarships Info Meeting: August 27. Interested in study, research, or teaching English abroad? Come learn about the application process for the 2014-2015 Fulbright U.S. Student Scholarship Program. The campus deadline is September 20, 2013, and students must be a U.S. citizen & graduating senior or graduate student. The meeting will be held in SCEN 101 at 4 p.m. on August 27.

Snow Cone Welcome Party: August 28. Join us for our party as we welcome everyone back to campus and say hello to our new international students! Come visit our office, enjoy a refreshing snow cone, meet some study abroad students, and have a chance to share your first-week-of-classes with each other. We hope to see you there! 

Gilman Scholarship Meeting: September 11. The Gilman study abroad scholarship is available for the spring 2014 semester! Come find out more about this great study abroad scholarship for Pell grant students and get tips on perfecting your application!
Eligible applicants are undergraduates who are United States citizens, receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application or during the term of study abroad, and participating in a study abroad program that is no less than 4 weeks. Awards are generally $3,000 for a summer and $5,000 for a semester/year. Applications for spring 2014 must be submitted online by October 1, 2013.
We will be hosting two meetings on Wednesday, September 11 from 4-5pm, and Tuesday October 1st from 4-5pm, all in JBHT 207.  If you’re unable to attend and/or have additional questions, please contact studyabr@uark.edu.

ISA Info Table: September 23. Learn more about studying abroad with ISA! Program representative Stephanie Casas will be on campus on Monday, September 23 to talk about study abroad opportunities through International Studies Abroad. Lauren will have a booth setup in front of the Union from 11am-2pm. ISA offers a wide variety of study abroad programs at accredited schools and universities for summer, semester and academic year terms. ISA programs are available in Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Panama, Peru, South Korea, and Spain.
