Hi! My name is Taylor Peabody. I’m a
Bumpers Honors student studying
agricultural business and
nutrition. This summer I participated in the
community development program in Mozambique. I have traveled abroad before, but this was my first time in Africa! I think one of the biggest surprises for me was that Mozambique didn’t look like the landscape from “The Lion King.” I would definitely recommend making time to learn about your destination before arriving, I think it makes for an easier adjustment period if you have an idea of what you’re getting into. It may not have looked like a scene from “The Lion King,” but I was perfectly okay with that once I got used to it!

I had a much lighter suitcase on the way back after passing out 26 Arkansas shirts to the Ebenezer apprentices! |

We spent one morning playing with some of the kids at a local preschool. |
