Today
is the day! Today is my first adventure of the summer. My first
adventure as a college graduate. My first big adventure actually! This
is the first time that I will be traveling abroad and I am beyond
excited. I have been given the amazing opportunity to study abroad in
Puebla, Mexico for 5 weeks this summer. During my time in Puebla I will
be taking Spanish health classes, participating in hospital rotations,
and exploring the sights that Mexico has to offer.
I figured I would
post to my blog before I left to get into the habit of actually writing
my thoughts down. I have been preparing for this trip on and off for the
last week-ish. Between work and spending time with friends and family, I
have been packing and making sure that I have everything I need for my
time in Mexico.
The
program that I am participating in is a faculty led program put on by
the University of Arkansas and the faculty in charge of this program
have been very helpful in making sure we are ready and have all that we
need when we travel abroad. They have given us plenty of checklists to
go over and lists of things to bring, so that is what I have been using
to pack for my trip. I'd say the hardest thing I've had to do so far for
this trip is decide what clothes I am going to bring.
As
far as this blog goes, I hope to use it to document my time and
experiences in Mexico, as well as let my friends and family know what I
am doing. I can't wait for all the adventures that I will have in
Puebla! Let the Journey begin!
