International Education Week Activities, November 14 – 18
International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. To learn more about the exciting events taking place in celebration of International Education Week, visit iew.uark.edu. Be sure to check out the International Bazaar on Monday in the Union Connections Lounge to see winners of the 2016 Study Abroad Photo Contest!

International Dress Day is Monday, November 14
Wear your favorite international clothing, sports jersey, hat, scarf, or other item for this all-day event, and share the stories and memories behind them. An International Dress Day Photo will be taken at 11 AM in the International Connections Lounge of the Arkansas Union to officially kick off the week's events.
 
Hogs Abroad 101 Sessions
Center for World Languages: JB Hunt 207, 4:00pm – 5:00pm, Every Tuesday & Wednesday

Learn the study abroad basics – program types, locations, housing options, scholarships, etc. – through these peer-led info sessions. These take place weekly from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the semester. Space is limited to the first 25 students each week, so get there early!

Study Abroad Office Thanksgiving Holiday Hours
The Office of Study Abroad and International Exchange will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 24th and 25th for Thanksgiving.

It’s never too early to start scouting scholarships!

If you’re interested in studying abroad during the upcoming year, check out the scholarships on our website so you’ll have a heads up on the application deadlines! There are a plethora of scholarships that are available; have a look at the ones we know of here: http://studyabroad.uark.edu/funding. There are many more as well so be sure to do your research!
 
Apply for Your Passport:
Now is a great time to locate your birth certificate and submit a passport application. You can find instructions on how to apply using the following link: http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports.html.
