A photo of me and one of the owners of the sail boat named Anis. Because of the language barrier we were not able to have conversation, however it was a wonderful experience to enjoy the ocean breeze together.
After a challenging first week of research at the farm in Nampula, the study abroad team was able to take a weekend vacation to the Mozambican coastline. We drove about 4 hours east to where the coast of Mozambique meets the Indian Ocean.

Taking sailboats rides Saturday to a private island located a little ways out into the Indian Ocean. These boats had character with patch-work sails. We were able to watch locals fish as we sailed across the water.
