~Newsflash: actually started this blog 3 weeks into being here, so bear with me.~
My first week in good ole Firenze was nothing short of amazing honestly. I didn’t lose any luggage, my first international flight was a breeze, and my program did and has done nothing but continue to impress me.
First everyone was split up into two hotels, both very nice, and for orientation week were continually given opportunities to learn more about the city we would be living in as well as ways for everyone to meet each other.
After the hotel, my roommates and I got to move into our incredible and honestly mind-blowing apartment. We are literally right across from the breathtaking Duomo Cathedral, which is amazing since it is the biggest thing in Florence and now I will never get lost walking home. First week was full of beginning to make new friends, adapt to this new culture, and try as much Italian food like we weren’t about to be eating it for the next four months.
Here below we have a photograph which was taken outside my apartment door…I meant it when I said literally right across. Ciao, Ciao.
