ISA Info Table: September 23. Learn more about studying abroad with ISA! Program representative Stephanie Casas will be on campus on Monday, September 23 to talk about study abroad opportunities through International Studies Abroad. Stephanie will have a booth setup in front of the Union from 11am-2pm. ISA offers a wide variety of study abroad programs at accredited schools and universities for summer, semester and academic year terms. ISA programs are available in Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Panama, Peru, South Korea, and Spain. Study Abroad Fair: September 24. Mark your calendars! The annual Study Abroad Fair is going to be held from 10:00am-2:00pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in the International Connections Lounge in the Union. Come meet with faculty, past participants and program representatives. Get information on UA faculty led programs, exchange programs and approved non-UA programs, scholarships, and other funding information. Programs are available for all majors. Gilman Scholarship Meeting: October 1. The Gilman study abroad scholarship is available for the spring 2014 semester! Come find out more about this great study abroad scholarship for Pell grant students and get tips on perfecting your application!
More info: Eligible applicants are undergraduates who are United States citizens, receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application or during the term of study abroad, and participating in a study abroad program that is no less than 4 weeks. Awards are generally $3,000 for a summer and $5,000 for a semester/year. Applications for spring 2014 must be submitted online by October 1, 2013.
There will be an informational meeting on the Gilman on Tuesday October 1st from 4-5pm, all in JBHT 207.  If you’re unable to attend and/or have additional questions, please contact studyabr@uark.edu.

International Student Travel Video Contest The 2013 InternationalStudent.com Travel Video Contest is now open! This is a great opportunity for students, with a grant prize of $4,000. To enter, students will submit a short video explaining why they want to study or travel abroad. The deadline is October 23 and the winners are announced on November 15, 2013.
