during my time overseas, i will be taking two upper-level humanities courses at the university’s rome center and living among the locals in an apartment with three other girls from my school. in between attending lectures and completing homework assignments, i’ll be wandering the cobblestone streets of the eternal city and soaking in anything and everything i can.
ever since i spent a week in various parts of italy as a high school senior, i thought about returning to this country every single day. i wanted to spend enough time there to learn more of the language, establish favorite spots, learn short cuts and even become a regular at some of the cafes. as an almost college senior, i am fortunate enough to have been accepted into this program and given the opportunity to do exactly that almost four years later.
i hope you enjoy following along on my adventures and if you’re a university student considering a study abroad program for yourself, i hope you find my blog both informational and inspiring! i truly believe that traveling can very quickly teach a person so much about themselves and the world we live in. i can’t wait to see the ways in which this trip challenges and rewards me!
