"Lost" in Madrid #HogsAbroad in Spain #WanderlustWednesday

These past couple of weeks have been mainly focused on familiarizing myself with my surroundings, and perfecting my everyday routes. Yesterday I decided to do something a little different. I got lost. But on purpose. I discovered some beautiful sites, and actually ended up at the royal palace here in Madrid. The entry was 5 euro, but it was worth every cent. The palace is indescribably beautiful, intricate, and ornate. Unfortunately, they only allow pictures in certain areas, so I only got a few.

After an hour and a half of going through the palace, I stopped by Oven, a popular pizza place that was highly recommended by a friend. Best decision I made that day was ordering a calzone. It was gigantic and delicious. It was a little pricey at 10 euro, so I would not recommend going there on the daily.

Hello, my name is Edgardo Alaniz Flores. I am currently a Junior at the University of Arkansas. My major is International Business with a concentration in supply chain management. I also am pursuing a minor in Spanish. For the spring semester of 2018 I will be studying abroad at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain. I choose this program for various reasons, but the top two reasons were that they offered many business classes, and the second being that the university was in a Spanish speaking country. To make this journey across the ocean possible, I applied for a few scholarships. The Sam M. Walton college of Business study abroad scholarship. Another Scholarship I applied for was the Gilman scholarship. Without these scholarships my study abroad experience would not have been possible.
