Portobello Road Market #HogsAbroad in England #WanderlustWednesday

Yesterday we didn’t have any orientation sessions going on, so it was an explore the city kind of day. I have a running list on my phone of all the places and neighborhoods I want to visit while I’m here in London and I decided to go check out Notting Hill first. Famous for its Victorian homes in all different colors, I wanted to go see this trendy and so-called “cosmopolitan” neighborhood in person.
Literally obsessed with every single one of these.

Another famous place in Notting Hill is Portobello Road Market. It’s basically just this long road that stretches through a large part of the neighborhood and is lined with antique shops, clothing and consignment stores, restaurants, etc. I expected to just wander down it to see what it was like but found myself popping in to every other store because it was so unique and fun. There were cheap deals and high-end businesses all in the same place. I think we spent about 4 hours just wandering through different stores on Portobello Road and just off of it, as well as winding through all of the residential area surrounding. Family, I know you’re reading this, we definitely are coming back here when y’all come and visit!! And anyone coming to London really, add this place to your list of things to do!! It’s honestly just super entertaining. There were shops with vintage Chanel, cute and quirky gifts, antique typewriters and maps of the world… you really never know what you’re going to find on any given day! Here are some (well actually quite a lot haha) of the highlights below!

I will definitely be going back to this area to continue exploring – maybe I’ll find another cat!! Because c’mon, who doesn’t love a sweet little kitty sleeping in the flower box of a pretty pink house? #goals

Thanks for reading!
