Rome Center Spring 2018 Info Session: April 11, 2017, 4-6pm

Francesca Riccardo and Rob & Jan Wicks will host an information session about the Rome Center Spring 2018 program on Tuesday, April 11 in the Honors lounge in Gearhart from 4-6 PM. This program is open to all, but specifically offering degree credit for JOUR, COMM, ACOM, SOCI, INST, EUST & PLSC students.

Fulbright Scholarship Info Sessions
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, provides fully funded grants for graduate students for individual study, research, or English Teaching Assistantships in over 150 countries worldwide. Attend any of the sessions below to visit with staff from the Office of Study Abroad & International Exchange and a Fulbright Alumni Ambassador to learn more about opportunities for international travel and study through the Fulbright Program.

Diversity Abroad: Diversity Network Summer Scholarship
Application Deadline: April 7, 2016
The Diversity Abroad Network “Diversity Network” will offer summer scholarships in the amount of $1,000 for full-time undergraduate students attending Diversity Network Member Schools such as the U of A. Bridging Japan Scholarship
Application Deadline: April 11, 2017

Freeman – ASIA Scholarship
Application Deadline for Fall/Academic Year 2017: April 18, 2017, 5pm eastern
Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. For the application and more information, go to http://www.iie.org/Programs/Freeman-ASIA

Hogs Abroad 101 Sessions
Center for World Languages: JB Hunt 207, 4:00pm – 5:00 pm, Every Tuesday & Wednesday
Learn the study abroad basics – program types, locations, housing options, scholarships, etc. – through these peer-led info sessions. These take place weekly throughout the semester. Space is limited to the first 25 students each week, so get there early!

Apply for Your Passport:
If you haven’t already done so, now is a great time to locate your birth certificate and submit a passport application. You can find instructions on how to apply using the following link: http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports.html. And, be sure to log in to your Hogs Abroad Portal to upload your passport information to your application!
