We
arrived at our hostel late in the night and were welcomed by the owner,
Saki. Saki immediately poured us shots of his own homemade liquor and
made sure to fulfill any of our needs.
We went out that night into “Old
Town” and had a fantastic time. The next morning we met two Australian
girls who were staying at the same hostel. One of them had been
traveling for the last 4 months.
She had such amazing stories to tell
us. I could’ve talked to her for hours on end but unfortunately they had
to leave to go to Morocco. We said our goodbyes and I wished them safe
travels.
Afterwards we went on a boat trip with Saki around the coast of
Budva where we went cliff jumping and explored hidden caves.
Later in
the night we went out again with two Italians we met named Augustina and
Flávio. Once again we had a great night of socializing and meeting new
people.
The next morning we had to leave, which I was very upset about. I
gave Saki a big hug and thanked him for everything he had done for us.
People as caring and welcoming like him are rare to come across and I am
thankful for the time I got to spend with him. We hopped on a bus and
headed off to Dubrovnik which is where I am now. More updates to come
soon.
