To prepare for my study abroad trip in the fall, I did an intensive language study program in San Jose, Costa Rica. I spent 5 weeks being immersed in the language and the culture. Costa Rica taught me many things about myself that I did not know I was capable of. For example, I became much more independent on my trip than I thought possible. There were obstacles that I had never faced before that showed me the type of person I am. I learned so much from my first study abroad experience and I am thrilled that I get to experience study abroad all over again.
When I am in Spain I plan on doing an internship with a non-profit organization called Unbound in Valladolid, Spain. I am planning on working with their marketing team to get experience in my marketing minor. Hopefully this will give me experience to help me reach my career goals.
Spain is an adventure that I am willing to embrace with an open mind. I hope that I can continue to grow in myself and learn life lessons each day that I am there.
