Field Trip and Dinner at the Theater of Pompeii: Day 18 #HogsAbroad in Rome

Do I even have the days right anymore? I seriously forget every single time I go to type what number it is…oops. Anyway, hey! Today was pretty ordinary until evening. I went to class, we went on a field trip to an old bank where they used to create coins and another building that now is used as a home for seminary students while they attend their seminaries I guess? When we went to the second one, we looked at the courtyard and the architecture of the columns there and we all thought we would leave right after that, but instead our professor snuck us into a little area to show us a beautiful ceiling we wouldn’t see anywhere else.

We then finished with our field trip, I came back, made myself lunch, took a nap and sat around until my roommates got home. When they did get back, we all got ready and we went out to dinner with two of the girls downstairs to a restaurant that is where the Theater of Pompey was. So basically we had dinner right around the area Julius Caesar was stabbed, so that’s pretty cool. I had Spaghetti Cacia e Pepe (literally spaghetti with cheese and pepper, but it’s like one of the main pastas of Rome) and we all split a bottle of pink wine (which was delicious as well). Dinner was really enjoyable and I really liked spending time with the girls.

After dinner we headed outside and just kind of  hung around the area because we were in Campo de Fiori which is fun and lively at night. I had a very enjoyable evening and tomorrow morning I’ll be waking up to go to Tuscania for a day trip with my school. I’ll post about that tomorrow! Until then–arrivederci!:)
