May 16th marks our first day in South Africa. At the airport we
are greeted by our guide Lovemore, an appropriate name for the kind and
funny man. A short drive to our residence for the night, Brown Sugar
Hostel. The hostel is located about 20 minutes outside Johannesburg and
has a quiet-pleasant feel.
For dinner we are treated to braai, a common weekend dish usually enjoyed with drinks and music. Some good conversation and playing pool, then it’s off to bed. Welcome to South Africa!
