Job Description
Are you a study, intern or volunteer abroad alumni
that has a passion for the abroad experience? Do you want to motivate
other students to take advantage of the same opportunity you had? Then
the Diversity Abroad Campus Fellows Program may be for you! The
Diversity Abroad Campus Fellows Programs gives study abroad alumni
(intern and volunteer abroad too!) the opportunity to motivate their
peers on campus to pursue global opportunities. By hosting information
sessions, speaking about their personal experiences and sharing
Diversity Abroad resources, Campus Fellows will do their part to help
Diversity Abroad increase the number of diverse students going abroad.
Why a Campus Fellows Program
International study and intern programs aren’t just a
fun and exciting adventure. The experience has real life, tangible
benefits that are personal, academic and professional. But for years,
students of ethnic and racial minority backgrounds, first-generation
college students, and students from lower socio-economic backgrounds
have made up only a small percentage of students taking advantage of
global opportunities. We’re here to change that and you can help through
the Diversity Abroad Campus Fellow program. Students don’t always
understand how feasible, affordable and transformative studying abroad
can be. Although many students can be discouraged by the study abroad
process, it can be much easier to understand how to make it possible
through the support and guidance of their peers, like you, who were in a
similar position not long ago.
The goal
The goals of the Diversity Abroad Campus Fellows
Program are to empower you to utilize your international experiences in a
professional, creative, and engaging way; get new students excited
about international opportunities and Diversity Abroad through
