Scholarship Applications Reminder:  There are many scholarship deadlines in early February. Now is a great time to work on applications!  http://studyabroad.uark.edu/funding.

Gilman Scholarship Information Meetings & Application Help Sessions:
Application Deadline:  Tuesday,  March 1, 2016, by 11:59 PM.
     Thursday, February 11, from 4-5 PM in the Center for World Languages Lab (JBHunt 207)
     Wednesday, February 17, from 5-6 PM in the Center for World Languages Lab (JBHunt 207)
     Tuesday, February 23, from 2-3 PM in the Center for World Languages Lab (JBHunt 207)
If you are an undergraduate student either currently receiving a Pell Grant or are Pell Grant eligible, this is a very promising way to get around $5,000 (semester/year) or $3,000 (summer) in funding for your study abroad program. Dr. Pepper Southeastern Conference Education Abroad Awards
Application Deadline:  Monday, February 15, 2016
Two $2,000 scholarships are available for Summer 2016 to support high-ability students with demonstrated financial need, who represent non-traditional study abroad participants; preference given to students enrolling in a U of A faculty-led program. Qualified students who apply for the Office of Study Abroad Scholarship will automatically be considered for this scholarship! No additional application is required.

Freeman – ASIA Scholarship
Application Deadline:  Tuesday, March 1, 2016
Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. Here is the link to apply:  http://www.iie.org/Programs/Freeman-ASIA.
