Being an International student is a very rewarding experience. There is a
sense of community and family all around you. You get to meet people
from all over the world. You have the chance to get to know them and
learn about their cultures. This world is made up of so many people from
so many backgrounds. It warms my heart to see people come together
despite their differences.What happened in Paris this past week has broken my heart for the people who lost their lives and their loved ones. Its a horrible thing that we live in a world where people want to take innocent lives to prove a point. Despite all of the bad, the world has come together to show its support for Paris and France.
There are tragedies happening all over the world, but it is good that we can come together as one world and support those who are in need. I have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to live on two campuses that have a passion for international students. Today on campus I had the chance to join in a moment of silence for the victims of the tragedy in Paris.
It was a moment that I will remember for the rest of my life. Watching a campus come together like that gave me faith in the future for the world. Live is very precious. Its a beautiful thing, and I believe that belonging to a world where people can come together no matter the circumstances makes life worth living. My favorite thing to say in French is La vie est belle. Life is beautiful.
