Girl Rising Screening, March 13
6:00 pm – 10:00 pm in the Union Theater
Girl Rising is a documentary that centers on nine girls living around the world who confront adversity and have overcome incredible odds in order to pursue their dreams. Prize-winning authors put the girls’ stories into words, and renowned actors give them voice. The movie will be followed by a panel discussion with some of North West Arkansas’ incredible leaders:  Sharon Orlopp – Global Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Vice President for Walmart; Lynnette Watts from the Women’s Foundation; Julianne Brown – Project Manager – Presidents Global Council for Women Leaders in Walmart;  and Dr. Veronikha Salazar, former UA International Student & Associate Dean for Henderson State.

An SIT representative will be on campus to talk about study abroad opportunities through SIT Study Abroad. SIT offers a wide variety of study abroad programs at accredited schools and universities for summer, semester and academic year terms.
