Girl Rising

Girl
Rising is a documentary that centers on nine girls living around the world who
confront adversity and have overcome incredible odds in order to pursue their
dreams. Prize-winning authors put the girls’ stories into words, and renowned
actors give them voice. The movie will be followed by a panel discussion with
some of North West Arkansas’ incredible leaders: Sharon Orlopp – Global
Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Vice President for Walmart; Lynnette Watts
from the Women’s Foundation; Julianne Brown – Project Manager – Presidents
Global Council for Women Leaders in Walmart; and Dr. Veronikha Salazar,
former UA International Student & Associate Dean for Henderson State.
