Applications for U of A faculty-led programs are now being accepted for Summer 2013!  Find your program at: http://studyabroad.uark.edu/facultyled.  Check each program’s website for application requirements, dates, costs, and additional information.  Questions?  Call the Office of Study Abroad to make an appointment to discuss faculty-led programs with program advisor Meredith McKee or email mmckee@uark.edu


$5000 Study Abroad Scholarship for Fulbright ARSC Students. Applications are due November 2, 2012 for the 2 Cleveland C. Burton Undergraduate Fellowships in International Studies for undergraduates on study abroad in 2013.  Applicants must be in the Fulbright College with sophomore status or above.  Holders of other major fellowships (Sturgis, Bodenhamer, Honors College, etc.) are ineligible to apply.  Contact Benjamin Grob-Fitzgibbon at bjgrobfi@uark.edu with questions or to request an application. 


SASA Annual Photo Contest: Vote for Your Favorite Photo!
The Study Abroad Student Association (
SASA) needs your help! Past study abroad participants are submitting their photos to the Annual Photo Contest. Cast your vote for your favorite photo by visiting the SASA Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/155440251204798/. Then, tell your friends to vote as well! Keep an eye out for information on the next photo contest – perhaps you could be next year’s winner!


Free Turkish Language Classes. The Turkish Student Association is offering Turkish language classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. in the Arkansas Union rm 515.  No prior knowledge of the Turkish language is necessary, classes kicked off October 2nd.  For registration and questions contact the Turkish Student Association at haltindi@uark.edu.  “It’s more than just a language…it is your passport to the cradle of civilizations!”
