UA Kanto Gakuin Exchange Study Abroad Info Meeting. Students studying Japanese are welcome to attend this informational meeting, hosted by our visitor to campus, Mr. Yukifumi Eguchi, from our exchange partner, Kanto Gakuin University (KGU) in Yokohama, Japan.  Come hear how you can take intensive Japanese language and culture classes this fall while paying UA tuition.  Applicants are encouraged to have at least 3 semesters of Japanese under their belts before attending KGU. SASA Annual Photo Contest: Vote for Your Favorite Photo!
The Study Abroad Student Association (SASA) needs your help! Past study abroad participants are submitting their photos to the Annual Photo Contest. Cast your vote for your favorite photo by visiting the SASA Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/155440251204798/ after the submission deadline on November 2. Then, tell your friends to vote as well! Keep an eye out for information on the next photo contest – perhaps you could be next year’s winner!

UA Campus in Rome Info Meeting October 30^th. The Office of Study Abroad will host a meeting for students to find out more about spending the summer at the UA Campus in Rome.  You’ll learn more about how to earn core credits (those courses needed to graduate in any major), explore Rome and other areas of Italy, get more insider info on European studies topics, or practice your drawing skills in the art courses…all for UA credit & UA tuition (without fees)!  This informational meeting for our UA Summer Campus in Rome program is Tuesday October 30^th from 4:00pm-5:00pm in the Foreign Language Lab, JBHT room 207. Honors College Study Abroad Scholarship Grant for Summer 2013 & Fall 2013 due November 28^th. For those applying for the Honors College grants for programs starting this summer or fall, but haven’t been in to see us, please give us a call at 575-7582 to set up an appointment soon. For tips on the applications, make sure to check out the Honors website (http://honorscollege.uark.edu/108.php) and find the Honors Directors and Assistant Honors Directors for your college (http://honorscollege.uark.edu/274.php).  Don’t forget to start on this very soon, as the closer it gets to the November 28^th deadline, the less time there will be to help make your application the best it can be!
