Bonjour tout le monde! I’m Cordarius Enright, a freshman here at the
University of Arkansas. I’m majoring in
International Business with a concentration in Finance with a minor in
French. I studied abroad in the summer
of 2010 with a program called People to People Student Ambassadors.
With this program I traveled to England, France,
Belgium, and the Netherlands. Honestly,
there are absolutely no words that can fully express my experience while
trekking through Europe. I love to say,
“It’s just one of those you had to be there moments.” But, what I can share with you is, the trip
was definitely a life-changing, eye-opening, experience! Before my departure I was told that traveling
abroad is life-changing, it’s such an honor to travel out of the country. Every time I heard that I always said to
myself “Yeah right. How can traveling to
another country be so life-changing?”
Little did I know, it would have the biggest impact on my life
personally and academically.

Traveling abroad makes you learn so much about
yourself that you’ve never known. I’ve
learned that traveling is truly my greatest desire in life. Since then I’ve prioritized visiting all
seven continents as my number one goal before I leave this earth! Traveling abroad has also benefited me
tremendously with academics. I’ve been
offered an internship with a clothing company in there Sales and Management
Department and I landed a job with the Office of Study Abroad and International
Exchange as a Peer Advisor here at the UofA (which is not an easy task for a
freshman).

As a Peer Advisor I recommend abroad programs that pertain to student’s majors, minors, and/or personal interests. My personal goal as an advisor is to persuade all students to challenge themselves and excel beyond their boundary of comfort and to venture out to an exotic destination that can make and mold them into someone they’ve never known they are. Here at the study abroad office we can find the perfect program for YOU. Don’t be afraid to contact any of the study abroad team with any questions. I look forward to seeing you in the office soon. A tout à l'heure!
