We then went to find my school so we could pick up my keys to my apartment! We walked to my apartment and went up to check it out and it was bigger than I was expecting and pretty nice! I’ll have two roommates, one of which I met briefly today, but neither of which I will be sharing a bedroom with. I somehow managed to get my own room without even asking, so I’m hoping it’ll be a good thing that it ended out that way. Hopefully I won’t miss out on too much because of that.
After checking out my apartment we went to see Trevi Fountain, something I was incredibly excited about seeing, but when we got there was incredibly disappointed due to the amount of scaffolding covering it for repairs. I’ll attach a picture of it for sure because it was a huge bummer unfortunately.
From Trevi, we went to the Spanish Steps and I got a picture there, but it’s totally overcrowded with people, oh well. From there we wanted to kill some time sitting and relaxing because the sun was taking energy out of us. We took a little trek up Aventine Hill and saw a GORGEOUS view of the city and sat in the park up there. There’s also a garden at the top that is locked off, but you can look through a keyhole and it has a perfect view to the Vatican, which was stunning as well. (I’ll post the picture I attempted to capture it in, but it was too bright so it completely missed seeing the Vatican at the end unfortunately.)
We went to a neighborhood called
Trastevere for dinner and after that came back to the hotel and called
it a night. Another minor freakout happened tonight regarding being on
my own starting tomorrow once I move into my apartment, but I’m crossing
my fingers all will be okay. I guess we’ll see! Orientation is in the
morning for my school, so I’ll post about that and my apartment
tomorrow! That’s all for tonight, good night!
