We then hopped on a bus and headed to Piazza Navonna which is a little square where many people sell their art and it’s a pretty little place to walk around. Around the corner from there is the Pantheon, so we went there next. We became pretty tired after that from the heat of the day and from waking up earlier than normal so we came back and hung around our hotel for a little while and took naps, which worked out very conveniently for us because it began thunderstorming. We headed back out into the city when it stopped and went to a restaurant for dinner called Osteria dell’Anima. I had Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Pepperoncunio with a glass of white wine and it was very good.
Tomorrow I’ll be picking up the key to
my apartment and doing a little more sightseeing. Homesickness isn’t as
bad today, but last night right before I went to bed was a bit of a
meltdown unfortunately. I really like being here, it’s just tough always
feeling like a tourist wherever I am and whenever I think about how I’m
going to be here alone for a month, I get incredibly stressed out, but
I’m hoping I’ll get along well with my roommates when I meet them and
they might even be in a similar situation to me. I’ll post more soon,
but for now: buona sera!
