Can’t Belize I’m Here #HogsAbroad

As we were getting ready to land I looked out my window and say the beautiful light blue water surrounding Belize.  Once we landed we exited the plane outside and then walked into the building which was something I had never experienced before.

The airport was very small and it was the first time I had ever been through Customs.  I got my first stamp in my passport:)  Once we got our luggage a big yellow school bus picked us up outside to take us from Belize City to Dangriga.

The bus ride to Dangriga was 3 1/2 hours but I didn’t mind.  The whole entire bus ride we were surrounded by beautiful green jungles and hills.  It was like nothing I had ever seen before and I couldn’t take my eyes off it.  Finally we arrived in Dangriga.  It was a small little beat up town.  But I could already tell it had a lot of character.

Meghan, Rebecca and I were all going to be roommates at the Chaleanor Hotel.  When Miss Eleanor handed us our key and pointed to our room.  We turned around and we were in Room 1, behind the front desk, right when you walk in the hotel.  The door to our room was literally in the Lobby.  Our room was nice with 3 beds and air conditioning, which were SO thankful for.  Because half the rooms at the other hotel didn’t even have air conditioning.  5 minutes after unpacking our things we noticed 3 lizards running across the walls.  We could never catch them so we knew we’d be sleeping with lizards.
