Starting the adventure in Fayetteville #HogsAbroad in Belize

All of my friends left for home on Saturday but I got to stay in Fayetteville for my Belize pre-departure classes.  On Monday when I walked into the classroom I got to meet everyone that would be going on this adventure with me.  There were 3 other teams besides our Business Team; the Health Team; the Social Work Team; and the Engineering Team.  Our classes were focused on each team preparing their plan of action for when we arrive in Dangriga.

Within our Business Team we broke into 3 smaller groups with different priorities we hoped to accomplish.  Meghan Austin and I were in charge of the Computer Team.  A guest speaker came on Wednesday, David Ajuha, to talk to our specific team about how he wanted us to introduce programming in Belize.  He showed us a Minecraft game online that walks you through basic steps of coding.  We decided to make some of our computer sessions focus on introducing the students to coding using the Minecraft game.  Now that we have our plans ready for Belize I’m so excited to get started.
