Preparing for Takeoff! #HogsAbroad in Belize

After classes finished on Thursday I said a quick goodbye to all my new friends and headed off for the 8 hour drive to Austin, Texas.  Everyone else was departing from Fayetteville but I still needed to get all my stuff back home so I elected to fly out of Austin and meet up with the group in Atlanta.

Friday night I finished up packing and started to realize that tomorrow I would be leaving on the adventure I had been anticipating for the past 6 months…next thing I knew it was 4 am and my alarm was going off.  Today was the day!!  Made it to the Austin airport and got through security.

Once I was on the plane it began to really sink in that I was leaving the United States for the very first time.  Once I landed in Atlanta I made my way to the gate where I met up with all the other students.  We boarded the plane so excited that in just a few hours we would be in Belize.
