Traveling Life Away #HogsAbroad in Belize

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
-Marcel Proust

Hey friends!!!! I know it’s been awhile since I have written but if you know me you know I’m out in the world exploring and adventuring. I’ve decided I want to use this blog to encourage others to go out and see the world and give my travel tips I’ve gathered since I started my adventures abroad. I know so many people have the desire to travel but get discouraged because they think it’s too expense or just don’t know where to start!

So I’m here to help you take that first step and leap of faith in to the beautiful unknown. For those of you who don’t know, I am currently living in Dangriga, Belize for the summer working on a community development project. Before coming to Belize I spent time in Costa Rica Woofing and adventuring and just recently visited Guatemala to explore some ancient Mayan Ruins.

The world is so so big and beautiful and I truly can’t get enough of it. So here is my attempt to prove to you that the “scary” things in life really turn into being the most extraordinary experiences. I also want to prove to you that traveling doesn’t have to break the bank and that there are plenty of ways to travel on a budget. In the next few months I will be dedicating one blog post to each of my favorite travel destinations I’ve been to.

I’ll be including my favorite places to see, places to stay, places to eat, and a budget break down for each location. I also have a huge love for volunteering abroad and I will be sharing how you can do this also! Other highlights I will be talking about will be how to pack for long trips, transportation when abroad, Safety, and my personal favorite travel gear brands. I really want to share this passion for exploring the world with others! So stay tuned. I hope you will join me in traveling life away (:

Your Friend,
Jess
