I had one class at 8am & I don’t have another class until next Monday so I could get used to this. Class was a snOoOoOzer but I survived. I’m taking the rest of this week off from school as a sign that I need to start my travels so my friends & I booked a trip to Brussles! I’m excited to see a different country even though the one I’m living in is still so new to me.
Even simple things like doing laundry is SO COMPLICATED HERE. My roommates & I walked around the city yesterday for literally 3 hours with suitcases full of dirty laundry trying to wash our clothes before we just gave up & headed home. I’m sure it was a sight to see 3 lost girls wandering around the town with luggage in the rain & no where to go. But tomorrow is a new day & I will attempt to wash clothes one more time :)
I’m getting used to using the currency here, which is the Danish Krone. Right now 1 American dollar is worth about 7 Krones. That’s about the only conversion that makes sense to me. If I could make one recommendation to the U S of A, it would be to switch to the metric system. Why do we have to be complicated & different than everyone else??? It’s honestly annoying.
I’ll leave you with a pic from the last day of intro week. My mentor group spent the day at the deer park & I conquered my fears & fed an animal. Studying abroad is all about trying new things right?
