Last summer, 21 U of A students traveled 9,000 miles to Nampula, Mozambique with one heartfelt goal: to make a difference.
And they did: this team of poultry science, business and engineering students tackled issues ranging from biosecurity to databases at New Horizons, a poultry farm with a mission to change lives.
Our students are contributing to New Horizons' success story, but their greatest takeaway may be what they learned from the people they traveled so far to help.
