TEXT India: Documenting History

Take a moment to check out UofA's own TEXT Program (Tibetans in Exile Today) youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/uatextprogram/).

The TEXT Program, or "Tibetans in Exile Today," is an oral-history project at the University of Arkansas designed to record the stories of Tibetans currently living in refugee settlements in India. Directed by Professor Sidney Burris & Geshe Dorjee, the program allows students to travel to India and to conduct the interviews that will then be transcribed, edited, and posted to our YouTube channel.  UofA students have traveled to India and personally collected these interviews as part of their summer study abroad program, and each one of the total collection contains multiple moments of pure inspiration as they each showcase man's potential for compassion, kindness, and perseverance to continue one's traditions in the face of persecution.
