Weekend Trip to the Amalfi Coast

This past weekend I went to the Amalfi Coast with the Bus2Alps program! I recommend using them for anyone who is studying abroad. They have trips to virtually anywhere you can imagine and will pick you up right from the city you are staying. It is a very easy way for study abroad students to travel around Europe without having to make all the arrangements on our own. The coast was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

On Friday we hiked up to visit the island of Capri and got out and swam in one of the Seven Wonders of Europe, the Blue Grotto. It was magical swimming in the glowing turquoise water! After, we explored the town. Capri is where Limencello is produced and they have a store that lets you taste all different types of Limencello and even Limencello chocolate! Naturally, I had to buy some Limencello chocolate. That night they organized a big dinner for everyone on the trip and it was delicious.

On Saturday we went to Positano. At Positano we were able to explore the beautiful little town and then they had a private boat ride to cliff jumping and cave swimming. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

On Sunday, we went to the ancient city of Pompei. I was shocked by how large it was! Basically everything is still preserved perfectly. It was one of the greatest weekends of my life and I definitely want to go back! This weekend my program is headed to Cinque Terre so I am super excited for that as well!!
