The U of A Community Development in Vietnam students are usually the January intersession to work in the small, rural village of Hoa An, Vietnam. Hoa An is also
home to the Rural Development College. Students from
the two colleges joined together to work
side-by-side to address the many challenges this community faces. This includes work in local schools, with projects at the university and
with community leaders as well as with individual families. By
developing and leading these projects, students are getting a truly unique experience to
immerse themselves in the community, gain true cultural understanding,
and develop leadership skills in a challenging environment. The program will end this weekend; here are a few photos by faculty leader Laura Gray showing us a peak into what it's been like so far.
