The start of Week 2 #HogsAbroad

My last post was a bit longer and my memory was fuzzier since I waited a while to make it. Knowing
me this one will still be kind of long, but I figured I’d get a head start on this one!

This Monday and Tuesday the most I really did, aside from going to lectures, was planning for a trip to London this weekend! A few flatmates and I are going to take a train into London early Saturday morning, and stay in a hostel that night. We know we’re going to some of the bigger attractions such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, but that’s all we’ve planned so far.

Also, yesterday we found out that the building we live in is “misted” aka protected. This means there’s a legal process to making changes. So, when they found out two of our kitchen windows were cracked the best/fastest solution was, as per usual, duck tape!

Moving on to today: I tried to go to a class after my lecture. After about 15-20 min. of waiting with other people, a girl read aloud from the course module website: “No class for the first 5 weeks of school!” Normally, this would just make me both happy and annoyed with myself for not seeing that; however, today I had signed up for another just play that was supposed to start at the same time class ended!

For this Just Play session people were there to lead it! A flatmate and I went to an Archery session, which was in a small indoor two lane range. I think it went pretty well, because one of the guys helping to coach us asked me if I would join the club. I thought he was joking, so I laughed and went back to shooting. That’s when he said he was actually serious. Then when I told him I didn’t have equipment, and he said they’d provide everything! I don’t think I’ll actually take up his offer, but I’m definitely going to the Just Play session again next week!

To end my day, I tried editing this blog a bit. That had mixed results. I accidentally deleted a lot of photos associated with previous posts since I was trying to upload more with out copies. Long story short: not only did I fix it, I think it’s better now too. Now I know what to do in the future as well!

Until Next Time,
Reed
