Photo credit: Rachael Pellegrino Description: In South Africa, there is a tradition called sundowners. It is a time to talk, relax, and give a final salute to the sun as it sets. In Kruger National Park, this happens every evening to cap off a day of research and game drives. Many of the researchers and residents of the area come to the side of this lake and socialize. We were in this area finishing and compiling our own research and thus joined in the daily ritual. Our program focused on global health and I learned so much about not only the structure of health care but also about myself. #hogsabroad #studyabroad #travel #travelquote #SouthAfrica #sunset A photo posted by UofA Office of Study Abroad (@uarkstudyabroad) on Jun 3, 2014 at 8:18am PDT
