H2Passport to Vienna and Prague #HogsAbroad

A part of the Honors Humanities Program, or H2P, H2Passport students are studying in Vienna and Prague during the January intersession. For some of them, this is their first trip abroad (for one student, it's the first time on a plane!). They’re learning a lot about history and music (they've visited the Austrian National Library, Schönbrunn Palace, etc.) and also how to navigate a big city (with subways, planes and a foreign language to navigate).

Schnitzel and Spaeztle; it's what's for dinner!

This course takes students to Vienna and Prague to enhance their experience of the early modern period acquired during their H2P3 course. Portions of H2P3 focus on the history and culture of Central Europe to demonstrate the developments of Western intellectual thought in the eighteenth through early twentieth centuries. This course expands upon the students' knowledge by taking them to the sites and monuments directly connected with the issues they studied in class and allowing them to acquire deeper understanding and appreciation of the era and its culture. --
