Chào (Hello)! #HogsAbroad

For those of you who don’t know me (yet), my name is Cordarius Enright. I graduated from a school in a small town called Smackover in South Arkansas.  I’m majoring in International Business with a concentration in Supply Chain Management while minoring in French.

I have chosen to participate in our UofA Faculty-Led Global Community Development Program in Vietnam led by Dr. Steve Kopp!  This program provides students with an exciting and novel interdisciplinary approach to learning through service and international development in a rural village in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam.  I’m excited that we will not only be exposed to a different culture, but we get to make a difference in the world by lending a helping hand, incorporating our business skills and general knowledge into our daily, service projects.

I must say that I am little nervous about this trip because I’m not the “get your hands dirty type of person” lol. I prefer working at a desk, wearing a suit and tie, exercising my mind rather than muscles lol. BUT, I believe that’s why this program will be so amazing and life-changing for me.

Specifically, my goal for this program is: to contribute my knowledge, skills, and forward-thinking for the enhancement of the communities in Vietnam as well as for the betterment of society as a whole.

As you’ve noticed, the title of my post is “The Grand Finale.” Sadly, my time as an undergraduate is rapidly coming to an end. I have been blessed to have been offered opportunities to travel all over the world during my educational career. From England, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands in 2010 to Panama in the Summer of 2015. Now, as an early graduation gift to myself, I’m headed to Vietnam in 2016 as the “BIG BANG” for all of my scholastic achievements throughout the years.  This may be the grand finale for abroad trips during my educational career, but it’s definitely not the end of my abroad traveling.  My number one goal in life is to visit all 7 continents and I look forward to keep trekking away until I achieve it!
