More Snapshots from the #hogsabroad Health Teams in Sweden program

Hunter Waddell shared some more of his photos from his time on the Health Teams Abroad in Sweden summer program:

This photo shows a cath lab that we visited in Jonkoping, Sweden. It was very interesting to be able to compare the facility to what we saw back in the U.S. The equipment used is all very similar. It is just the policy and how they go about care that is different.

This was our visit to a site called Qulturum in Jonkoping. It is one of three facilities in Sweden. It is fully funded by the government. It’s goal is to allow health care providers to gather and work together on a more interactive and creative way of thinking and solving problems. It has helped to provide things like self dialysis to patients.

This is Klas, he lectured to us about social insurances in Sweden. It was very interesting to see the similarities and differences between our two systems. They have a lot more tax imposed, so it allows them to have many benefits in their health care system, and it is very cost friendly.
