Annual Study Abroad Fair September 22. Want to study Engineering in India, Health in Sweden, or Sustainable Development in Rwanda? The annual Study Abroad Fair is the place to start! Stop by the Fair between 10:00am-2:00pm on Thursday, September 22nd in the Union Connections Lounge. Meet with faculty, past participants, and program representatives. Get information on UA faculty led programs, exchange programs, approved non-UA programs, scholarships, and other funding information. Programs are available for ALL majors. Start making your dreams a reality!
Renew/Apply for your Passport at the Study Abroad Fair September 22. Need a new or renewed passport? Get your passport photos taken and submit your completed applications at the Study Abroad Fair ON-CAMPUS for 1 DAY ONLY! The New Orleans Passport Agency will have a table at the Study Abroad Fair from 10am-2pm. Be sure and check the passport application requirements: http://travel.state.gov/ and click on “PASSPORTS.”
Freeman-ASIA Scholarship Application Now Available. The Freeman-ASIA Scholarship application for Spring 2012 and early Academic Year 2012-2013 is now available! Freeman-ASIA provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. The program's goal is to increase the number of Americans with first-hand exposure to and understanding of Asia and its peoples and cultures. Awards of up to $5,000 are available for spring programs.

The deadline for exchange and direct enrollment programs is October 1, so don’t delay! Check out all your options at: http://studyabroad.uark.edu/exchange

SASA aims to create a community of returned study abroad students, introduce prospective study abroad students to study abroad alumni, assist the Office of Study Abroad & International Exchange in promoting study abroad programs, and provide opportunities for members to get involved with international activities. World Food Day October 16. World Food Day is October 16, and we are proud to be a food collection site for this event. Join us in efforts to alleviate hunger by donating non-perishable food items between now and October 16. Food will be donated to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank and the University of Arkansas Full Circle Campus Food Pantry.
