Hey everyone, my name is Matthew Owens. To be quite honest I feel like I’m a little late to the game on the whole blog thing. I’ve been in Spain a little over two weeks and have yet to make an entry. The host family doesn’t have wifi here and the constant business of life has made it hard for me to find a stable source of internet long enough to make an entry.
At any rate, I’m determined to make up for it. Over the next couple of days I’ll post entries of mine and my compatriots exploits in Spain. If you’re looking at this site trying to get some idea of what studying abroad is like, hopefully this will help.
For starts though, here’s an introduction. As previously noted, my name is Matthew Owens. I’m a rising junior at the UofA. I study History. Usually the medieval kind. Naturally I gravitate towards Europe. This is the second time I’ve study abroad, I spent last summer in Italy studying Classics. Spain this summer provided me with the wonderful excuse to revisit Europe while completing my minor in Spanish. Win, Win. I can’t think of a whole lot else that might be helpful if you’re reading up on me over the next couple of days. Now that I’ve more or less figured out the internet situation, I should be set to bring you some news from Spain.
