Hello all. I am studying Theatre in London through the University of Arkansas. I am sorry that I have not uploaded anything sooner. We have been in London a little over a week and it has been wonderful. Here is my blog post from my personal blog tylerinlondon2011.blogspot.com hope you enjoy it.
This morning I woke up feeling great and ready for the trip to Bath. We got on the coach at 9:00, and it was small! We were a little cramped but it didn't matter. Once we got out of London I fell asleep, and apparently everyone else did too. Our first stop was Stonehenge. When we arrived we saw it from a distance and it was indescribable at first. I mean there you are with nothing but field and you see it. It is hard to explain. We got our tickets and entered the park and it was amazing. We walked around it and listened to our audio guides which explained different things as we went along. There was plenty of time for pictures and I am glad I took so many. It was a beautiful day and the picture I am posting of Stonehenge looks like it could be on a postcard. I really enjoyed seeing stonehenge, and I am glad that I got to go. It was wonderful. After about an hour we got back on the coach and headed to Bath. The scenery was beautiful. The Salisbury Plain is gorgeous, but then I fell asleep again, and when I woke up we were in Bath. We checked into our lodgings and then had a guided tour of Bath. We saw all the beautiful architecture, including the Royal Crescent (pic below), and the Abbey. It was a beautiful city. In fact our guide said that the nickname of Bath is "the death place of ambition" because once you come you stay, even if you are offered a bigger and better job somewhere else. Once you live in Bath you never leave. And I believe her. If had money I would just stay here. Sorry Mom and Dad. I will kind of be sad to go back to London, lol, as sad as I can be...I mean it is still London. :) But anyway, after our tour we got a bit of free time and then had a tour of the Roman Baths. It was really really cool. We got to see parts of a 2000 year old roman temple and the actual baths. The water was hot too, I touched it. I was not supposed to. oh well. I was glad I went to see them too. Then we went and ate in an Irish Pub, and now I am laying in my big bed. Such a GREAT day. Love everyone back home! Night!
