Pre-Carnival Cultural Show Tonight and Carnival Parade Tomorrow
Japanese Quake/Tsunami Relief Charity Concert. The Japanese Student Association (JSA) is hosting a Japanese Quake/Tsunami Relief Charity Concert on Monday, April 25th from 6:00pm-8:30pm in the Union Connections Lounge. Performers include Japanese traditional “Soran-bushi” dance team, Japanese pop dance team, Umeshu (Willy Chen’s band), T.B.A. (JSA President’s band), Dr. Fukushima’s “Ventures tribute” band, Modern dance performance from VSA, and Cultural performance from CSSA.
JSA will have “UofA to Japan, Hope for Japan” wristbands at the event for anyone who donates. Please wear these wristbands to show your support for those involved in and affected by the rebuilding process. Any money donated will be sent through the American Red Cross to help the relief effort of rebuilding and assisting the many people who are still without power or some basic necessities.

Pre-Carnival Cultural Show Tonight and Carnival Parade Tomorrow. The Caribbean Students Association is hosting a Pre-Carnival Cultural Show tonight, April 22, at 7:00pm in the Union Connections Lounge. There will be free food, live performances, poetry, drama and carnival costumes on display. Admission is free. The Caribbean Students Association is also hosting the Carnival Parade tomorrow, April 23. The event starts at 2:00pm at the Union Fountain and admission is $2.00 per person. Dress code is design your own costume. All donations go to the Haiti Relief Fund.
