My name is Mackenzie. I'm a sophomore at the University of Arkansas, and
I'm studying Childhood Education. In the next few years, I will be
getting my Masters in Education. After that, I hope to move to a city to
teach elementary age kids. I'm primarily interested in STEM education,
which focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math. I'd love to
teach this specific area because technology is becoming more involved
in education and careers, and I think it's important for kids to learn
more about this area.
Outside of my education, volunteering for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has
always been something I enjoy. I have been involved with CFF for as
long as I can remember. Throughout high school I was a local ambassador
for the foundation, and have continued working with them by getting
involved with the CFF Great Strides fundraising walk committee. The past
two years, I have helped organize the local fundraising walk here in
Fayetteville. Besides volunteering, though, I do like to hang out with
my friends, watch Netflix, and go on road trips.
